Golf Outing to Benefit A Safe Place

White Deer Run in Vernon Hills, one of Lake County’s premiere golf courses, will be the setting for the Inaugural A Safe Place Golf Outing on Thursday, June 12.

Proceeds from the event will support the counseling, shelter and advocacy programs of the nonprofit agency serving battered women and their children who are residents of Lake, McHenry and northern Cook counties.


The outing, designed for golf enthusiasts as well as ‘duffers,’ features a buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m., followed at 12:30 p.m. by a shotgun start/ scramble format. The 18-hole event includes special golf contests, prizes and gifts, and will be followed by a cocktail hour and dinner. Registration is limited and will be taken on a first-received, first-served basis.

The registration fee is $225/golfer or $800 per foursome and includes a buffet lunch, 18 holes of premiere golf with cart, dinner/open bar, prizes and gifts. Attendance at the dinner only is also available for $75.
