Friends of A Safe Place Names Officers for 2004-05

Friends of A Safe Place, the fund raising auxiliary of the Board of Directors of A Safe Place/ Lake County Crisis Center, has named its Executive Board of officers for the coming year.

Sharon Collias, Lake Forest, has been chosen to lead the group as president for a second term. Other officers include Deborah Theobold, Lincolnshire, vice president; Linda Cook, Lake Bluff, treasurer; Nancy Stack, Lake Forest, and Lee Delucenay, Lake Forest, recording secretaries; Joan Duncan, Lake Forest, and Molly Browe, Lincolnshire, membership chairmen; Ann McAveeney, Lake Bluff, public relations; Linda Wendt, Lincolnshire, vice president, program chairman; Marilyn Lewis, Lake Forest, archivist and historian; Linda Quigley, Lake Forest, Imaginary Feast; Lauren Turelli, Lake Forest, A Safe Place Board of Directors representative; and Barbara Phelan, Lake Forest, advisor.

Friends of A Safe Place is dedicated to informing the community about the issues of domestic violence and the services provided by A Safe Place for battered women and their children. The group holds major fund raising activities during the year to support these shelter, counseling and advocacy services.
