Fall Wish List

A Safe Place / Lake County Crisis Center , the nonprofit agency providing comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence and their children, depends upon the generosity of the community for many of the program’s operational needs as well as personal items for the clients we serve. One special area of need comes during the fall/winter holiday period when food baskets are prepared for our nonresidential clients during the Thanksgiving and December holidays. Donations of any of the following are appreciated, as are donations to the shelter’s food pantry:

Milk, sugar, flour, eggs, hams, turkeys, beef or pork roasts, ground beef, chicken, cheese, dried beans, pasta, rice, cornmeal, bread, rolls, macaroni & cheese, stuffing mixes, fresh, frozen or canned fruits, fresh, frozen or canned vegetables;   Jello mixes, pudding, healthy snacks, juice and juice boxes, butter or margarine, jams and jellies, peanut butter, maple syrup, pasta sauces, soups, crackers, pie fillings and crust mixes, cake mixes, cookie and brownie mixes.   Gift certificates from area groceries are encouraged.
