A Spring Celebration Will Benefit A Safe Place

Friends of A Safe Place, the fund raising auxiliary board of A Safe Place/ Lake County Crisis Center, is now accepting reservations for their annual “A Spring Celebration of Women” benefit luncheon to be held Thursday, April 28, at Exmoor Country Club in Highland Park, IL. Exciting raffles and silent auction opportunities will be available as well as informal modeling from new spring cashmere collections from Tse of Lake Forest . The event benefits the comprehensive shelter, counseling and advocacy programs A Safe Place provides for battered women and their children.

A special feature of this year’s luncheon is a keynote address presented by Teri Jendusa-Nicolai., a young Wisconsin mother who survived a brutal beating and kidnapping in 2004, and who has become nationally known as an ardent advocate for battered women.
