Bob Ackley Recieves Volunteer of the Year Award

Bob Ackley received the Volunteer of the Year Award at A Safe Place’s 27th Annual Dinner on Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort. Ackley has been a dear friend of A Safe Place for many years.   He is an attorney who has graciously volunteered his time and energy toward breaking the cycle of domestic violence.   With Ackley’s legal advice and support, A Safe Place has been able to address special issues in the courts that effect victims of domestic violence, which he said “was the least he could do.” Ackley regularly sends A Safe Place any new legislation or rules that deal with domestic violence and any sources he comes across that fund domestic violence programs.

Ackley humbly accepted the Volunteer of the Year Award and is an asset to both A Safe Place and the community.
