Watching One Safe Place Become a Reality - Page 5

Lawn areas have been seeded leading rom the entrance, around parking areas and up, surrounding the 3-story structure.

Curbing is completed, as are parking lots for residents, staff and visitors.

Open space within a stand of tall pines that face the front of the building would be a perfect spot for sturdy play equipment for the children.  Contact Development Director Noelle More if you are interested in such a donation.

Brickwork on the exterior is completed.  Interior projects underway include the laying of flooring and installation of countertops and fixtures.

The upper two floors encompass 20 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments which may house up to 49 residents.

Donations to decorate and furnish these apartments are now being accepted.  Please contact Davina Martin, Associate Director of Develo9pment, at 847-249-5147, or email her at DavinaMartin@asafeplaceforhelp.org

Offices of the southern end of the first floor of the building will house administrative staff of the nonprofit agency.

There is also a wish list of needs for office equipment and supplies.  If you are able to help, please phone Davina Martin at 847-249-5147, or e-mail her at DavinaMartin@asafeplaceforhelp.org.
