Illinois Certified Domestic Violence 40-hour Training

The purpose of the Illinois Certified Domestic Violence 40-hour Training is to educate Illinois professionals, including A Safe Place staff, volunteers, and interns, to appropriately and safely respond to domestic violence, and to raise awareness to prevent further violence throughout the community. Forty hour certification is necessary to provide services in Illinois for survivors of domestic violence. Participants who take part in the full forty hours of instruction in the required topics and successfully complete the final assessment will receive a certificate of completion.

A Safe Place is an approved training site of the Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professionals Board (ICDVP). ICDVP has established required training topics and minimum time frames.

Once you receive notification from A Safe Place that you are approved, you may begin registration with ICADV. Instructions will be provided upon receipt of your registration form.

Cost of training is $200 - Payable by cash, check, or online.

Payment must be received in order to begin online modules (20/20 format)
