                            "Dignity"                                                                       "Hope"

A Safe Place is the proud recipient of twenty-one inspirational paintings created by adolescent girls.  During the summer of 2006, Omni Youth Services hosted an artist-in-residence who worked with young teen girls to develop self-esteem among the participants.  The canvasses were designed by the art therapist, and the girls worked together to paint the messages of empowerment: Dignity, Hope, Believe, Strength, and Dance are just a few.

At the end of the summer, the girls chose to share their work with others who could benefit from viewing the paintings.  They now hang throughout A Safe Place’s transitional living building, where tenants, staff and visitors can enjoy their beauty and power.
