Residents of an adjoining neighborhood in Zion can view A Safe Place's transitional living project rise three stories on a nearby hillside.  

 

A grove of pines faces the front of the 20-unit apartment building.

Construction workers are busy completing the roofing of the structure so that interior work can be continued throughout the cold winter months. 

 

Twenty one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments are being constructed on the second and third floors of the building.

First floor space under the apartments above will house supportive services for residents, including individual and group counseling, life skills and other training opportunities.
