Volunteer Positions Now Available

As the demand for our services continues to grow, we find ourselves in greater need of volunteers to help in many different areas of our shelter program. If you are interested in adding to the quality of life for the women and children who stay in our shelter, please consider volunteering.

We need individuals, over 18 years of age, to help comfort and support our children and babies, assist our counselors, and answer help line calls during which information and validation are provided to domestic violence victims who may be reaching out for help for the very first time.

Each person who volunteers receives 40 hours of training to prepare them to work with victims of domestic violence. Our next training takes place beginning February 2 through February 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To receive an application and to find our more about our programs, please call Susan or Mary at 847-249-5147.
